Student Expectations
In the spirit of a respectful and safe workplace, we support student expectations as outlined below:
- Sign in with your student barcode when you enter the library.
- Do not consume food or drink in the library, except water. No food or liquid of any kind can be consumed at the computers.
- Do not use the computers in the lab for streaming videos with sound or playing video games.
- Feel free to use your personal laptop and electronic device (muted) while working in the library, but this does not include camera, video chats, and speaking on the phone.
- Help us keep the library clean by tidying your work area before you leave. Put garbage in the appropriate containers, recycling whenever possible. Quality work is difficult to accomplish in a messy workspace.
- Use designated areas of study appropriately - carrels for quiet and individual study; tables and computers where you may chat or play games at a reasonable volume.
- Feel free to use items in the makerspace area and school supply area, but return the items neatly so that others may use them as well.
Your cooperation with these expectations will help us to keep our library a pleasant place for students to work.
